Irishdolphins.com has been quiet for the last few months, due mainly to family and work commitments. But, despite our inactivity, the interactive dolphins have been very busy. Here is a brief summary of how they are doing:
Dusty
The crowds have not come back in the same quantities as last year. It may have something to do with the fact that dolphin enthusiasts have not always been made welcome by certain locals, but, despite that, Dusty has been enthralling those that do visit her. I was swimming with her last month and found her as friendly as ever, and very quick to start a game of leaping, or closing in for a cuddle.

Fungie
Despite rumours that he was dying, or had died, Fungie is alive and well. This is the busiest time of year for him with up to 12 swarming boats at a time. The best time to swim is October to December and I don't think that is going to change this year. Although, if you do come to Dingle, there is no harm bobbing around in the water hoping that he will come over.

Dony
The grand European tour is still on. This is now his fourth year of travelling, taking in places like the Blasket Islands in Western Ireland, Weymouth in Southern England, Normandy, Dunkerque, Belgium, Holland and Brittany. He has frequently met up with another dolphin, Jean-Floch, on his travels but is mainly moving on his own. He is very hard to track and will only stay in an area for a few days at a time, so those that do meet up with him should consider themselves very lucky.
