The latest reports from Clare are that Dusty is on excellent form and very playful at the moment, although she has left the White Strand beach and is moving around a lot, often visiting more remote and hard to find locations along the coastline.
The ugly erupted lesions she suddenly manifested a couple of weeks ago have now totally subsided. They affected patches still look nasty, but scar tissue is forming over the sites, flush with the skin.
We still don't know what these lesions represented and several experienced cetacean biologists and veterinarians we have shown the pictures to are equally baffled.
