Lone dolphin in Ventry Bay, Dingle Peninsula, Ireland

A lone dolphin was spotted in Ventry Bay, Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry on the 24th of May 2005. Over the following 4 – 5 days people swam with the dolphin, with one person saying that the dolphin actually initiated interaction on a few occasions.
The dolphin has not been seen for the last few days, most probably moved onto other climes, but Fungie the Dingle dolphin continues to entertain just around the corner from Ventry Bay.
